JRR Tolkien’s Leaf by Niggle
(No, I hadn't heard of it either!)
We are very fortunate that Richard Medrington who, a few years ago, brought us The Man Who Planted Trees, has agreeed to perform his latest show in Colinton for Christian Aid.
Richard has turned this little-known story into an enchanting one man show. (The Guardian gave it 5 stars) There are no puppets in this show, even though the company is called Puppet State. And there are no wizards, elves or orcs, even though Tolkien wrote the story.
So why come?
Because "if you use even a tiny amount of your imagination, a picture forms in your head and then, a story starts forming too. I really loved it. I would give it 5 stars." (All Edinburgh Theatre, Junior Review)
